Lullabies – A journey through song

This children’s exhibition, curated by Reem Al Hashmi, presented a collection of sleep songs from various regions around the world including the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. We had to create various activations to tell the stories of these songs through various methods and mediums. Each zone was unique in a way that we had to use different ways to entertain the visitors.

In our project, we were presented with an exciting opportunity to work with seven unique zones. After receiving the stunning scenic design from Projex, DCT team, Projex and our team took on the task of developing captivating games and activations to bring these spaces to life. To enhance the visual experience, we incorporated a custom LED wall and projection mapping techniques. These technologies allowed us to create mesmerizing visuals that transformed the zones into immersive worlds. Interactivity was a key focus for us, and we developed a range of interactive games and activities. From creating musical instruments that responded to touch to implementing sound design and integrating lights, we aimed to engage visitors on multiple sensory levels. To facilitate user engagement, we integrated touchscreens and capacitive sensors, enabling visitors to interact directly with the installations. These intuitive interfaces provided a seamless and intuitive user experience, encouraging exploration and participation. In addition to the interactive elements, we also crafted animations that added depth and storytelling to the zones. These animated sequences seamlessly blended with the overall design, creating a cohesive and captivating narrative for visitors to experience. By combining technologies, imaginative game design, and meticulous attention to detail, our team successfully transformed the zones into immersive, interactive environments that left a lasting impression on visitors.
